An 18-year old Kansas City resident is being held in the Livingston County Jail at Chillicothe following a brief pursuit by the Chillicothe Police Department late Saturday afternoon.
Police said 18-year old James Walker-Hughes was accused of resisting arrest, possession of stolen property, and multiple traffic offenses.

The pursuit occurred after Chillicothe Police said they received information that a white male had stolen a vehicle at Hardin and was believed to be traveling northbound on Highway 65.

Police Sergeant Scott Chubic said the car was spotted southbound on Highway 65 in Chillicothe. A traffic stop was attempted, but the pursuit by Chillicothe Police ensued from the intersection of Third and Washington. It went south on Highway 65 to about 3 1/2 miles south of Chillicothe, where the car pulled over and stopped, and Walker-Hughes was taken into custody.
