Friday afternoon accident injures two Linn County residents

The collision of two pickup trucks on Highway 5 in Linneus on Friday afternoon resulted in injuries to 39-year old Russell Falconer of Purdin and 16-year old Paige Young of Linneus.
The Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred one-quarter mile south of Linneus, on Highway 5 at Dexter Road, as the truck driven by Miss Young pulled into the path of the truck being driven by Falconer. Miss Young was apparently trying to turn northbound on Highway 5 from Dexter Road.

Paige Young was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. She was taken from the scene by Linn County Ambulance to Pershing Hospital in Brookfield, with injuries described as MODERATE by the Highway Patrol.

Russell Falconer was not was a seat belt. The Purdin man suffered minor injuries, and refused treatment at the scene. This accident occurred at 1:30 on Friday afternoon.
