An Humphreys resident received what the highway patrol called minor injuries in a single vehicle accident yesterday morning two miles east of Tindall.
The highway patrol said 21 year old Phillip Galvin was taken by ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. The patrol report said Galvin was westbound on Grundy County Route O when what was described as a vulture struck the windshield in front of the driver. Damage was minor to the car. Galvin was not wearing a seat belt.

Just a quarter mile west of Chillicothe late yesterday afternoon, the highway patrol said a resident of Leona, Kansas received minor injuries in an U-S Highway 36 accident.

The patrol said 38 year old Taylor Gatz refused medical attention. The patrol reported Gatz was eastbound when his car ran off the right side of U-S 36 and struck a guard rail.

The vehicle then crossed the eastbound lanes and struck a concrete bridge railing on the left side of 36. The car was demolished. The patrol said Gatz was wearing a seat belt.
