A Milan man, operating railroad equipment, was involved in a Wednesday accident in Monroe City. The Highway Patrol said 60 year old Paul Nickell of Milan was westbound, while a car operated by 65 year old Cordelia Gander of Monroe City was northbound.
The Patrol said the railroad equipment struck the passenger door of the car as it was crossing the railroad tracks. Ms. Gander received what officers described as minor injuries and sought her own treatment. The car was demolished.
