Livingston County accident injures Dawn man, charged with DWI

A resident of Dawn was hurt when the van he was driving traveled off a Livingston County road, hit a tree, and overturned. Forty-three year old Justin Mitchell was taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, with injuries described as minor by the Highway Patrol.
The accident was around midnight on Saturday night approximately eight miles south of Chillicothe. The investigating officer said the westbound van went off the right side of Livingston County Road 424, hit a tree, and came to rest on its top in the road. The vehicle was demolished.

The Patrol said Mitchell was accused of Driving While Intoxicated/Persistent Offender, Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Road Resulting in an Accident, and not wearing a seat belt.
