In an accident late Thursday night involving a car leaving the road in western Adair County, the Highway Patrol said a passenger was injured while the driver was arrested.
The Patrol said a southbound vehicle driven by 37 year old Boyd March of Novinger ran off the right side of Highway 149, through a fence, and struck several trees. March was not reported hurt. However, a passenger, 50 year old Randy Eiler of Kirksville sustained what the patrol called minor injuries and was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. Neither was wearing a seat belt.

The patrol said Boyd March was accused of driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked, and careless and imprudent driving. The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the accident two miles north of Novinger.
