Saturday morning accident injures Gallatin teen

A Gallatin resident was hurt when the car he was driving hydroplaned on a road west of Gallatin, traveled off the pavement, and overturned. Eighteen year old Dillon Axton was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center. The Highway Patrol said he had MODERATE injuries.
The accident was Saturday morning three mile west of Gallatin on Daviess County Route DD. The investigating officer said the southbound car traveled into standing water and veered to the right. Axton then over-corrected, the vehicle traveled off the left side of the pavement, overturned 1 1/2 times, and came to rest on its top. The car was demolished. The Patrol said Axton was not wearing a seat belt.
