A Princeton man received what the Highway Patrol called SERIOUS injuries when the sport utility vehicle he was driving traveled off a road north of Princeton, hit a fence and trees, and overturned several times.
The Patrol said 51-year old Joe Clark of Princeton was taken by helicopter to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.

The accident was late Saturday afternoon five miles north of Princeton on Derby Road. The investigating officer said the westbound SUV went off the right side of the road, Clark over-corrected, the vehicle skidded off the left side of the road, hit a fence and trees, and overturned several times before coming to rest on the driver's side of the vehicle.

The SUV was demolished. It was unknown whether Clark was wearing a seat belt.
