The Pleasant View Board approved a bid from People's Co-op of Trenton to continue providing fuel. The cost will be 3 cents below the pump price. That's the same discount offered by the only other bidder, MFA. The district has purchased fuel from People's Co-op in recent years, and the Board decided to remain with that business.

The Pleasant View Board employed Bailey Brown of rural Trenton as a classroom aide for the upcoming school year.

An open house for Janet Lake's preschool through 8th grade is the evening of August 18th at 6 o'clock. Parents and students are invited to meet teachers, leave school supplies, and have a picnic meal.
