Firefighters Respond To AT&T Building In Trenton

Firefighters responded to the AT & T building near 9th and Washington in downtown Trenton early Sunday in response to an automatic alarm.

Lieutenant Eric Lorenz said a light ballast shorted and sent smoke into the basement. However, he said there was not enough smoke to require a ventilator to remove it.

Firefighters did shut off a breaker to the light. Lorenz said there was no electricity in the building at the time.
