Saturday Morning Motorcycle Accident Injures Two

Two Higginsville residents were hurt when the motorcycle they were on hit a deer on Highway 5 north of Linneus, throwing both off the machine.

The operator, 50 year old Ricky Dorsey, and a passenger, 49 year old Debra Dorsey, were flown by medical helicopter to university hospital at Columbia with serious injuries.

The Saturday morning accident occurred nearly 2 miles north of Linneus on Highway 5. The motorcycle was northbound when it hit the deer. Both persons were wearing safety devices.
