|Officers were elected during Monday nights meeting of the Spickard R-2 board of education.|
The president is Ginger Terhune. Chosen as vice president was Ruth Ann Shipps. The treasurer will be Jesse Richmond. And selected as the board secretary was Jennifer Roberts.
The board adjusted the current budget to reflect actual figures for revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year ending June 30th. The board then adopted the 2014-15 budget as presented with no major changes – no details were given in the news release sent overnight. Various bids were tabled until a July school board meeting.
A motion was made to look into purchasing a small utility shed to house mowing equipment.
An executive session was held regarding personnel and students with no announcement. However, the Spickard school is advertising for a cook, a bookkeeper, and a para professional for the next school term.
The next school administrator at Spickard, beginning in July, is Burnie Schneiderheinze from Novinger where he was an agriculture instructor and FFA sponsor at Adair County R-1 high school.
