One resignation was accepted and an employment approved during a meeting last night of the Grundy R-5 board of education.

Elementary Instructor Amanda Gott submitted her resignation.

Following a closed executive session, the board hired Jessica Shackelford of Trenton as an elementary school instructor for the next year.

The board also agreed to allow a Grundy R-5 senior student to take classes part time at North Central Missouri College during the upcoming school year.

Lunch prices were approved reflecting a ten cent increase. Elementary school
lunches will cost two dollars and ten cents each. The high school lunches and for
adults will cost two dollars and twenty cents.

In news briefs from the meeting, Grundy R-5's board approved next years' class schedule, student handbook, and continued participation in the A-plus program.

A special board of education is set for June 26th at 6 o'clock at the high school in Galt to amend the current fiscal year budget and to approve the 2014-15 budget.
