Martin Scheib To Be Promoted To Street Superintendent

At the closed executive session Monday night, the Trenton City Council agreed to promote an employee, Martin Scheib, to replace retiring Street Superintendent Larry Griffn. Griffin retires October 1st.

Scheib started work for the Trenton Street Department in 1984  and currently holds the title of Crew Foreman. Scheib will be paid a starting salary of $46,000 a year with a performance review after six months. 

In a news release issued this morning by city hall, Mayor Nick McHargue , expressing the feeling of the council, said Scheib has earned the opportunity to lead the street department with his 30 years of service and knowledge of operations. 

Doctor McHargue added owning and operating an asphalt plant was also an important factor in promoting Scheib to the position of street superintendent.
