David Barton, a 6’8” student from Knob Noster High School, recently signed his letter of intent to attend NCMC and play basketball. His statistics show averages of 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots per game, and he was named All-Conference his junior and senior years. David is the son of Vicki and Chris Barton. At North Central Missouri College he wants to graduate with an Associate in Arts degree and then transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelors degree.

Head Pirates Basketball Coach Steve Richman remarked, “David is a big kid with great athleticism. He rebounds extremely well and is an unselfish player; this will give our team a good post presence.”

Other signees for next fall’s team are Reid Summers (Richmond), Caleb Berry (Lee’s Summit), and Terrance Bush, Jr. (Des Moines).
