The Newtown-Harris Board of Education has approved a budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1st in which revenues are estimated to exceed spending by more than $10,000.

The budget for the fiscal year ending this June 30th is estimated to have income surpassing expenses by at least $50,000.

The Newtown-Harris Board has agreed to have the district pay up to $450 a month for employee health insurance premiums.

The Board approved a 1% pay increase for non-certified staff next school year.

Summer maintenance plans were discussed with an emphasis on water drainage.

Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri at Unionville has agreed to sponsor a textcaster service for the Newtown-Harris district. The text service is to provide school related information.

Retiring Guidance Counselor, Linda Tucker, was thanked for her years of service to the district. She's been with the Newtown-Harris district over 25 years.
