Correction To Chillicothe Accident On Highway 36 Yesterday

Two Trenton residents were hurt yesterday morning west of Chillicothe when the sport utility vehicle they were in hit a bridge rail and then was struck by a tractor trailer unit.

The driver of the SUV, 24 year old Cory Albers, and a passenger in that vehicle, 21 year old Glinda Leffler, both of Trenton, were taken to Hedrick Medical Center at Chillicothe. The highway patrol reports both had minor injuries.

The truck driver, 37 year old Bryan Karr of Barnard, was not reported hurt.

The accident occurred 2 miles west of Chillicothe on eastbound Highway 36. The SUV operated by Albers went out of control on the wet pavement, traveled off the left side of the road, hit a bridge rail, traveled back into the eastbound passing lane, and was hit by the tractor trailer unit.

The SUV was demolished, while the truck sustained moderate damage.

All three persons were wearing seatbelts.
