Trenton Man Injured In Tuesday Morning Accident

A Trenton man was injured in an accident this morning at Chillicothe when his vehicle struck a bridge rail and then was hit by a tractor-trailer.

The accident happened two miles west of Chillicothe.

The highway patrol reports 24 year old Cory Albers of Trenton was taken by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe. The patrol report described
his injuries as minor.

Albers was eastbound on Highway 36 when he apparently lost control of his S-U-V on wet pavement. The vehicle traveled off the left side and struck a bridge rail. The vehicle then traveled back into the driving lane where it was hit by the eastbound tractor-trailer. The truck was driven by 37 year old Bryan Karr of Barnard. He wasn't hurt.

Albers' S-U-V was demolished. The truck had moderate damage. Both drivers were using safety devices during the 8:10 am accident.
