Grundy County Sheriff Reports Two Arrests

|A Chillicothe man, 49 year old Michael Ernest Oleson, has been arrested on a warrant accusing him of alleged failure to appear in Grundy County Circuit Court. |
Several cases were filed six to seven years ago for which Oleson was eventually placed on probation in lieu of serving a prison sentence. Bonds total 300 thousand dollars cash pending his court appearance at Trenton.
He faces two counts of distribution and / or the manufacture of a controlled substance from May 3rd and May 27th—both in 2007--and distribution of a controlled substance near schools May 19th of 2007. Information also shows Oleson was originally charged with felony driving while intoxicated persistent offender; and resisting or interfering with custody on February 10th of 2008. Oleson, authorities say, also has a probable probation violation pending in the courts. He's being returned to Grundy county from the Daviess DeKalb Jail.
A former resident of Coffey, 31 year old Charles James Hefner, has been arrested on a felony charge of receiving stolen property. Bond is 15 thousand dollars pending an appearance tomorrow in the associate division of Grundy County Circuit Court. Authorities accuse Hefner of possessing a riding lawn mower and an air compressor last November allegedly knowing the items may have been stolen.
