Fountain Grove Conservation Area To Be Site Of Activities

Fountain Grove Conservation area south of Meadville will be the site of various activities June 21st for youths up to 17 years old.

There will be exhibits and booths covering various aspects of waterfowl hunting. They include a decoy booth, a dog retrieving exhibition, archery, trap shooting stations, and waterfowl identification.

The activities are June 21st from 11 until 4 o'clock. The Swan Lake's Sportsman's Club provides lunch from Noon until 2 o'clock, a duck calling contest is at 2:30. Youth and adult raffles take place during the day.

The event has been held at Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge the past few years---but is planned this year at Fountain Grove.

Swan Lake, the Missouri Department of Conservation, and the Yellow Creek Chapter of Ducks Unlimited are participating in the program.
