Brookfield Man Injured In Sunday Morning Accident

A Brookfield man was hurt yesterday morning north of Moberly when, according to the highway patrol, a pickup truck turned into the path of the sport utility vehicle he was driving.

68 year old Robert Sims of Brookfield was taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center with what the patrol called moderate injuries.

The driver of the pickup, 71 year old Ronald Switzer of Excello, was not reported hurt.

The accident was on Highway 63. Both vehicles were southbound. The patrol said the pickup turned left from the right lane into the path of the SUV.

The SUV was demolished. Damage to the pickup was listed as moderate.

Both persons were wearing seatbelts.
