The highway patrol said 58 year old Roger Cain received serious injuries when thrown off his A-T-V when it rolled and struck a tree. He was taken by an ambulance to St. Luke's on the Plaza in Kansas City.

The patrol said Cain was westbound on private property when there was a malfunction with the A-T-V causing it to strike a tree. The machine then rolled ejecting the driver who landed two feet away. The A-T-V came to rest on its top.

Damage to it was listed as minor.

The highway patrol arrest report said 58 year old Roger Cain was accused of driving while intoxicated.
