Gallatin Gets Go Ahead For Construction Of New Water Plant

Gallatin City Administrator, Zac Johnson, says the Missouri Department of Natural Resources finally has approved a construction permit for a new water plant.

The Gallatin City Administrator is getting bids for hot mix street projects this summer.

Farmers Electric has informed the City of Gallatin that all the lots have been sold at an industrial park Farmers Electric owns. Johnson said there's been no announcement on how the lots will be used.

Johnson says he's working on a maintenance agreement for the City's water wells and a new Welcome to Gallatin sign at Highways 6 and 13.

The Gallatin City Board of Aldermen approved an ordinance authorizing a lease agreement with Foley Equipment Company to rent a min excavator. It's to be used by all Gallatin departments---particularly the Water Department for such things as digging for water main repairs and replacing meters.

The Gallatin Board of Aldermen agreed to remove Jake Hogan from the Park Board, but has not found a replacement. Johnson said Hogan asked to be replaced on the Board.
