University of Missouri redshirt freshman Trent Hosick, a graduate of Staley High School in Kansas City, has decided to transfer.

It is strongly believed that playing time, and a developing log-jam at quarterback at Missouri, are the principal reasons for Hosick's decision. Coming off of Saturday's spring game, Hosick was in competition with Corbin Berkstresser and Eddie Printz for the back-up job behind sophomore Maty Mauk, but the former three-star dual-threat quarterback was believed to be looking fourth, at best, on the depth chart heading into the fall.

True freshman Marvin Zanders, a recruit from Jacksonville, Florida, made a splash in the spring game with an 80-yard touchdown run, and Missouri just received the verbal commitment from four-star quarterback Drew Lock of Lee's Summit.
