LeBlond Wins MEC Team, Individual Golf Titles

The Golden Eagles of Bishop LeBlond High School (St. Joseph, MO) shot a score of 310 on Monday afternoon, claiming the championship at the Midland Empire Conference tournament.

The tournament was played at the Fairview Course in St. Joseph. Finishing a distant second behind LeBlond were the Savannah Savages, at 342. The Maryville Spoofhounds finished third at 345, followed by Cameron (357), Smithville (368), Chillicothe (384), Lafayette (380), and Benton (423).

The individual MEC medalist is LeBlond's Sam Schanze, with a score of 70. Quade Hill of Cameron was tenth place, at 85.

Cameron's other individual scores were Conner Teel 89, Dakota Persinger 91, and Chase Foreman 92. Chillicothe's Cade Snyder finished one stroke out of the top 10, with a round of 86. Other rounds for the Hornets were Colton Webb 92, Mason Mayers 102, and Alex Wright 104.
