Laredo Board Of Education Addresses Various Issues

The Laredo Board of Education has voted to re-employ non-certified staff Mona Loyd, David Davis, Susan Cooksey, Debbie Riddle, Megan Peterson, Charlie Bowe, Larry Loyd, and Cassidy Bethards.

The Laredo Board accepted a contract with Melissa Perry for occupational therapy work in the next school year at a rate of $60 an hour, plus mileage. It's for 2 to 4 hours a week.

The Board accepted a contract from Alicia Rojas for speech-language pathology for the upcoming fiscal year at $50 an hour for up to 10 hours a week.

The Laredo Board has agreed to continue pay the District's 40% for Career Ladder even though the District says the State still is not paying anything.

The Laredo District will be purchasing 2 used bus doors to replace rusted ones currently on its buses.

The Laredo Board tabled consideration of placing security cameras in the building after reviewing 2 bids. The Board also tabled consideration of purchasing a maintenance program for the school's phone system after reviewing costs.

School Board officers in the upcoming year are President Brad Wilford, Vice President Matt Foster, Treasurer Jason Meeker, Secretary Mona Loyd, and Missouri School Board Delegate Jim Marsh.

Upcoming events at the Laredo school include a sports and music awards banquet the night of May 1st at 6 o'clock. A spring concert is the night of May 8th at 7 o'clock. Graduation at Laredo s the night of May 12th at 7 o'clock.
