THS Golfers Scorch Riverside With Friday Play

The Trenton High School boy's golf team beat the visiting Marceline Tigers on Friday afternoon, with both squads playing very strong golf, as the Bulldogs emerged with a 136 to 171 win.

Lane Beverlin and Cree Mullenix led the Bulldog charge, both with scores of 32 (2 under par). They tied for medalist honors on the day. Chase Tolson shot an even-par 34 with Nate Swann shooting 38 and Nick Gass a 42.

In JV play, Trenton lost to Marceline, 213 to 183. Corbyn Guile had the top score for the JV Bulldogs at 47. Tucker Franklin had 48, Conner Lovell 57, and Cade Darting 61. Trenton will head to Cameron to play in the Cameron Tournament, on Wednesday morning, starting at 9 o'clock.
