Associate Division Circuit Court News At Trenton

|The Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit heard a number of cases in it's last session.|
43 year old Don Kinsman of Kirksville waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1 of Circuit Court on a charge accusing him with possessing methamphetamines February 26th.
48 year old John Moots of Trenton waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1 on charges accusing him with receiving stolen property and possession of methamphetamines---both in February. In the receiving stolen property charge, Moots is accused of receiving, retaining, and/or deposing a bank card knowing, or believing it had been stolen.
37 year old Michael Puckett of Trenton admitted violating his probation. The probation was continued, but Judge Steve Hudson sentenced Puckett to 14 days of shock incarceration. He was given credit for already serving 4 of those days.
Puckett was put on probation in December after pleading guilty to misdemeanor 3rd degree domestic assault in December. In connection with the December case, Puckett is to pay $116 in court costs by April 22nd. In court this week, he was reminded about the $116 still due and also $80 owed for probation fees.
A charge accusing 38 year old Stephney Brown of Kansas City with possession of methamphetamines in February was dismissed by the prosecution.
A charge accusing 36 year old Carrie McClain of Trenton with possession of methamphetamines in February was dismissed by the prosecution. The charge had been taken under advisement by Judge Steve Hudson last month when Ms. McClain was bound over to Division 1 of Circuit Court on 2 other charges---possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.
