THS Bulldogs Win Tuesday Home Triangular

The Trenton boys golf team improved on Monday's team total, shooting a 160 in competition held Tuesday afternoon at Riverside Country Club. Brookfield shot 200, and Braymer tallied a 201.

Coach Travis Mullenix stated that Lane Beverlin "had a great round". Nate Swann had "a rough stretch" in the middle of his round, suffering a +5 total after four hoes, but finishing with a respectable 40. Trenton improved to 3-0 in duals, and will host the Marceline Tigers on Friday.

Lane Beverlin shot a 35 to earn medalist honors. Swann had a 40, Chase Tolson 41, Cree Mullenix 44, and Corbyn Guile shot a 48. In JV action, the boys came away with a win against Brookfield. Nick Gass played very well with 43. Coach Mullenix said Drew Dolan also had a good day, shooting one of his best scores of the spring with a 49. Tucker Franklin, at 52, was close but just had a little trouble on the more-lengthy holes.
