Trenton Boys Win Higginsville Invitational

The Trenton Bulldogs showed team balance in winning the Husker Classic on Tuesday evening at Lafayette County High School in Higginsville.

The Bulldogs had two first-place finishes, both from the distance relay squads. Lamp, Shields, Griffin, and Hoffman won the 4 by 400 relay with Mack, Crawford, Hoffman, and Devorss won the 4 by 800 relay. The 4 by 100 and 4 by 200 relay teams won second place, with Dalton Ellis second in the 300 hurdles, and Charlie Hoffman second in the 800 meters.

The Lady Bulldogs finished 4th in the 12-team field. Trenton had SIX runner-up finishes (no firsts), with Raymo, Crawford, Osborn, and Roberts second in the 4 by 200, Tenna Roberts runner-up in the 200 meters and 400 meters, Ayron Osborn second in the 800 meters and triple jump, and Ally Ockenfels second in the shot put.

Trenton now prepares for the Joe Shy Relays at Chillicothe High School, beginning at 2 o'clock on FRIDAY afternoon.
