Northeast District FFA Winners Announced

|FFA Chapters at Green City, Unionville, and Meadville are among those with several judging teams that have qualified for state-level competition following career development contests held Wednesday this week for the northeast Missouri district.|
Milan and Linn County also have FFA teams qualifying for further competition.
Green City will send five teams to state; Putnam County of Unionville qualified four teams; and Meadville will advance three teams.
According to on-line results, Green City FFA members finished 3rd in livestock and poultry, 4th in dairy cattle and meats, 5th in dairy foods. High ranking students from
Green City: Brenna Jeffries 2nd in dairy foods; Sydney Tietjens 3rd in meats; Raeann
Kilgore and Natalie Ayers 3rd and 5th in livestock; Trinity Couch 6th in dairy cattle.
Putnam County FFA teams highly ranked at the district contests were 2nd in dairy foods, 7th in horses and agronomy, 8th in poultry. Jacey Valentine and Shelby Roof were ranked 6th and 7th in dairy foods.
Meadville FFA rankings were 2nd in livestock, 5th in dairy cattle, and 7th in soils.
Joel Martin was 2nd in dairy cattle; Shawn Muck was 2nd and Haley Fitzpatrick was 6th
Linn County of Purdin teams placed 6th in horses and 7th in dairy cattle judging.
The highest ranking for Linn County was Joslyn Seals 4th place in dairy cattle judging.
Milan had a team placed 8th in floriculture and an alternate team for entomology.
The Missouri FFA convention is later this month in Columbia.
