The fire department was represented by Davey Davis, Mike and Austin Eckert. In a report from the city clerk, Mayor Pro Tem Geoff (Jeff) Eads presided after Mayor Jack Turner abstained from any of the conversation. Davey Davis discussed the fire departments’ finances and what he called the need to raise dues for the rural area.

He also reported on the money received from the residents within the city limits of
Jamesport. A member of the council, Chris Ford, suggested the fire department
present more information on their financial needs.

On another topic, Ford suggested the city take steps toward hiring part-time employees and begin planning on road work when the weather allows.

The council approved a request to share with the Jamesport Community Association, the cost of purchasing new trash containers for uptown Jamesport.

The council agreed to pay one half of the cost to build new containers.
