A Veterans Center councilor from Kansas City is to be present for the Friday session from 10:15 to 2 o’clock regarding post traumatic stress disorder and readjustment counseling. Persons attending are asked to take a copy of all V-A and military separation paperwork.

As reminders: the V-A has a mobile clinic that comes to Trenton every Tuesday morning from 9:30 until all persons are seen. The V-A shuttle van, based in Trenton, helps persons with transportation to V-A appointments.

Veterans Service Officer Wayne Kleinschmidt reports the Department of Veterans Affairs now provides what it calls comprehensive dental care to Veterans who meet eligibility standards. It’s an opportunity in a three year, national pilot program, to purchase dental insurance at a reduced cost through Delta Dental and Met Life.

It was mandated by the caregivers and Veterans Omnibus health services act. Wayne Kleinschmidt of Trenton can be contacted for more information.
