Since the school is under the umbrella of St. Columban Catholic Church, it does not receive government funding provided to public schools.
Bishop Hogan officials say the school does participate in the federal hot lunch program which allows the school to help students at or near poverty guidelines. Bishop Hogan officials say the great bulk of the school costs involves such things as teacher salaries, utilities, and building maintenance—which are the responsibility of the school and St.Columban.
