It's resulted in 34 year old Elizabeth Glass of Trenton being charged in Grundy County with receiving stolen property between August 1st of last year and January 31st of this year. Ms. Glass is accused of receiving money knowing or believing it to be stolen.

She's been released from custody on bond and is to appear February 25th in Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.

Trenton Police Chief, Tommy Wright, said Ms. Glass started a web-based fundraiser in mid August of last year to help offset the cost of the funeral for Justin McKnight. Chief Wright said the Trenton Police Department was advised in early December that none of the money had been delivered to a funeral home to help with the expenses.

Police Chief Wright said a 3 month investigation ensued. Ms. Glass is accused of allegedly spending $1600 raised.

Wright is encouraging persons who donated money to the fundraising effort to contact him via email at Twright@trentonmo.com
