Law Enforcement Busy Over The Weekend

|Over the weekend, Trenton Police Department posted on their facebook page a picture of a Trenton man, Billy Gott, with the notation he was wanted by “federal marshals”. Assistance from the public was sought in locating Gott. |
An update from police later in the weekend indicated Gott was taken into custody Saturday night in Kansas City, Kansas. Trenton Police Chief Tommy Wright said the arrest on the federal warrant stems from an original drug charge. The case is being handled by the Western District of Missouri, probation office.
Three defendants are to appear in court tomorrow today at Trenton after authorities obtained writs for their temporary release from Missouri Department of Corrections facilities.
21 year old Forest Lee Shoemaker of Trenton is charged with second degree
burglary last September in Grundy county. He recently failed to appear in circuit court at Trenton. Bond was set at ten thousand dollars cash.
25 year old Megon Switlik of St. Joseph has a bond of 21-hundred dollars cash
on charges of allegedly passing bad checks with two Trenton businesses last October.
Galt resident Amanda Hampton failed to appear in circuit court on two counts of passing bad checks in 2012. Her bond is one thousand dollars in cash.
