Accident Near Chillicothe Injures Two

Two people were injured in a Thursday night accident two miles east of Chillicothe.

The Highway Patrol said two cars were eastbound on U.S. 36 when one attempted to pass while the other was attempting to merge left, in preparation for a left turn.

The cars were driven by 69-year old Arthur Isder of Wheeling (who was attempting to pass) and 60-year old Deborah Huitt of Riverside (who was attempting the turn). The Patrol described injuries as minor for Deborah Huitt and for a passenger in the other car, 60-year old Rose Isder of Wheeling. Both were taken by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe. Vehicle damage ranged from moderate to extensive.
