Here are the post-match comments from Trenton Head Coach Charlie Bacon:
Tonight we faced an Albany team that had a few open weights. Drew Rorebeck got things started off on the right track with a very impressive 1st period pin over his opponent. Drew continues to look better every time he steps on the mat. Dalton Ellis also looked really good on his feet, scoring a some great takedowns before his 2nd period pin. Mason Mounce looked great as usual with a quick first period pin after a couple of nice takedowns. Freshman Cole Little picked up his 2nd varsity win ever, which is always really nice to see. Cole executed the game plan scoring a quick takedown on his opponent and pinning his opponent in a tight cradle.
The Bulldogs will travel to Lathrop High School this THURSDAY night, December 19th, to take on the host Mules, along with Plattsburg, and Kansas City O'Hara in a 6 o'clock quadrangular. The annual Trenton Wrestling Tournament starts at 10 o'clock this Saturday morning, December 21st, from the THS gymnasium.
