Although sales tax revenue for the year was down slightly, nearly all of the decline is because of the first part of the year. Receipts in 4 of the first 5 months were less than during the same period a year ago.

However, sales tax receipts in 6 of the past 7 months were greater than the corresponding period a year ago.

As a result, income from each of the County's 3 sales taxes—for the entire year, was down about $2300. Combined, that's nearly $6900.

The 3 sales taxes are called general revenue, ambulance, and law enforcement. Each had receipts this year of more than $452,000.
