David Atkins is to be Princeton's Water and Wastewater Supervisor. The current holder of that position, Jeff Peace, is retiring in February after 33 years at Princeton.

Princeton Deputy City Clerk, Danette Snapp, said Atkin's salary has not been announced yet. She said there were 10 to 13 applications for the job--and that Atkins was among 2 persons with the necessary licenses.

Mrs. Snapp said that Atkins has been working at a wastewater plant at Greeley, Colorado. She said he was a power plant operator at Chillicothe.

The Princeton Council approved the lone bid received to purchase a hangar at the former airport---which was closed about 2 years ago. James Oujiri of Green Castle is to pay
$1575 to remove the structure from the site.

Persons wishing to run for the Princeton City Council or the mayor's position may file at Princeton City Hall during office hours December 17th through January 21st.

Terms held by Mayor, Kurt Meighen, and councilmen, George Scurlock and Mike Greenlee expire in April.
