The pantry at 17th and Harris will be open this morning from 9 o'clock until 11 o'clock to distribute the venison.

According to Linda Antle of the food pantry, there are two freezers full of the one pound rolls of ground venison. It represented 20 processed deer that were donated by hunters through the Share the Harvest program.

The first shipment of deer meat occurred back on commodity day last month at the food pantry and that supply, from nine processed deer, was quickly distributed.

Persons going to the food pantry this morning, between 9 and 11 o'clock, are reminded to take their identification cards with them.

Once this supply is exhausted, Mrs. Antle anticipates another nine processed deer to be delivered in the one pound packages at a later date.
