Due to a 21st century grant that has been received by the Mercer school, there's no charge to drop off anything electronic such as computers, printers, televisions, and microwave ovens.

In the vicinity of the North Mercer school, persons can see an overhead door open, to a garage for persons to leave their electronics. They may do so until 4 o'clock this afternoon or until about 11 o'clock tomorrow morning.

A company from Illinois is to have a truck arrive in Mercer at 11 o'clock Tuesday to pickup all of the electronics; then it will recycle them.

According to Patty Stark, the recycling of electronics event is open to all persons not just those in the Mercer area.
