|The Trenton Fire Department is again conducting its annual toy drive for the children of Trenton.|
As in the past, the title of the drive is Fill the 44 referring to the 1944 American LaFrance fire truck the department had re-furbished. New and good used toys will be collected at the Trenton fire station.
Toys will be handed out beginning at 8 o’clock the morning of December 23rd at the fire station. Depending on the supply, distribution of the free toys could last until 7 o’clock that Monday night.
Recipients will be required to present a voucher from the children and family support division for the state of Missouri, formerly known as division of family services. The fire department says it will impose a limit of one large toy per child or two small toys per child on Monday December 23rd.
The Trenton Kiwanis Club and KTTN Radio also are sponsoring the Christmas Wish For Kids project with gift requests heard during regular programming each day on KTTN. The gifts or cash can be delivered to KTTN, Dave’s Body Shop, Royal Inn Pizza, or members of the Trenton Kiwanis Club. Those members also wrap and deliver the gifts in time for Christmas.
