Expo Set For December 7 At Princeton

|Home-based and direct sales businesses, most of them from the Mercer County area, will be part of an expo at Princeton on December 7th.|
The day also includes pictures, entertainment, and wreath making classes.
Activities are to be preceded by a 5 kilometer fundraising run/walk. Organizers say the run/walk includes ugly sweater contests, hot chocolate stations, fake mustaches, and festive music. Proceeds from the ugly sweater 5 k run/walk go to the Mercer County Fire Department toy drive. The charge to participate in the run/walk is $15, or $5, plus a new toy. Registration for the run/walk is the morning of December 7th from 7:30 until 8 o'clock at the Princeton Elementary School commons. The run/walk itself is that morning from 8 until 10 o'clock around the school.
The expo is that day, December 7th, from from 9 until 2 o'clock in the gymnasium at Princeton Elementary School. It's called the Winter Wonderland Expo.
Around 30 home-based and direct sales business are to show their products. They include jewelry, purses, bags, baskets, cosmetics, soaps and lotions, woodcrafts, wreath making, kitchenware, primitive home decor, painted windows, graphics, and fondue chocolate and cheeses.
The organization is called the Divas of Mercer County, although President, Kiera Pollard, indicated that name may be changed since men have joined.
Persons taking a canned good to the expo can receive a free picture with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and elves between 10 o'clock and Noon. The canned goods will be donated to the Mercer County Food Pantry.
There also will be a photographer at the expo to take family and individual pictures in front of a holiday setting for a charge. Several packages are to be available for purchase
throughout the expo. An appointment is not required.
Entertainment is to be provided by a dance studio at 10 o'clock, Princeton High School cheerleaders at 11, and the Princeton High School Band and Choir at Noon.
Wreath making classes are planned that day at 10 o'clock and Noon. The charge is $40. The deadline to reserve a spot for the class has been extended to this coming Tuesday. Persons should contact Sue Crawford at Country Wood Hearts and Lace for wreath making at Princeton.
