One Injured In Carroll County Accident

The highway patrol reports one person was injured yesterday when a sports utility vehicle was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer on Highway 10 east of Norborne in Carroll county.

Missouri department of transportation also reported a portion of Highway 10 was blocked by the wreckage for about three hours Tuesday.

The state patrol said 38 year old Candice Bell of Bogard received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Carroll county memorial hospital in Carrollton.She was the driver of the S-U-V. Operator of the large truck was 53 year old David Kincaid of Richmond who wasn't hurt.

The report said both vehicles were westbound when Ms. Bell attempted to make a left turn. The large truck began to slide and struck the rear of the turning vehicle. The impact caused the truck to overturn and it was demolished. Damage was listed as moderate for the sports utility vehicle. Both drivers were using seat belts.
