NW Missouri State Basketball Signs Lafayette Senior

Northwest Missouri State University, and head men's basketball coach Ben McCollum, have announced the signing of St. Joseph native Xavier Kurth to a National Letter of Intent.

Kurth is currently a senior at Lafayette High School in St. Joseph. In his junior season with the Fighting Irish, Kurth was named a first-team All-State performer, averaging 19 points, six rebounds, and two assists per game. He was the St. Joseph News-Press Player of the Year, and added first-team All-City and first-team Midland Empire Conference status to his resume.

Kurth will start his education at Northwest in the 2014-2015 academic year. He is undecided on his major, and is the current Student Body President at Lafayette High School.
