While the possibility remains in place for senior James Franklin to retake the starting quarterback position on Saturday morning in Lexington against the Kentucky Wildcats, all indications are that the Missouri Tigers will turn to red-shirt freshman Maty Mauk for a fourth consecutive week.

In the Mizzou depth chart, released on Monday, Mauk is atop the list, with Franklin, as he was last week, listed at "third-string", with "questionable" added to his playing potential for the game at Kentucky. Head coach Gary Pinkel says that he and the Tiger coaching staff will evaluate how Franklin practices this week before making a final decision on his availability, "probably on Thursday". Franklin has missed the last three weeks, after straining his shoulder in second half action at Georgia.

Missouri, now 8-1 on the season, and 5-1 in the SEC, will take on Kentucky at 11 o'clock on Saturday morning from Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington. The game will be televised nationwide on ESPNU. Coverage on KTTN FM 92.3 begins at 9 o'clock in the morning. Missouri holds a one-game lead over South Carolina for first place in the SEC's Eastern Division.

In other Missouri news, senior defensive tackle Marvin Foster's career at the school is over. Foster tore his biceps tendon during Saturday night's win over Tennessee. Foster appeared in eight games this season, picking up eight tackles. He has struggled with injuries during his time in Columbia, suffering a knee injury in 2009, and tearing a pectoral muscle in 2010. True freshman Josh Augusta is expected to get more playing time in Foster's absence.
