|Crowder State Park west of Trenton will be the site of guided hikes through the woods next Friday night, November 1st.|
They begin at 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock from Camp Grand River, the park's organized group camp.
The distance is about 1/2 mile on a trail. Each hike is expected to take about 30 minutes to complete. Participants are encouraged to dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources says the family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Although it's the night after Halloween, the event is called the Halloween Hike. It includes the opportunity to make a Halloween craft.
Crowder State Park staff will assist with the event.
