|Awards were presented at recognition day ceremonies Sunday afternoon for Grundy County 4-H Club members.|
Outstanding 4-Her of the year honors went to Morganne Farmer among those 14 and older and to Tyler Kidd for youth 13 and under in age. Named outstanding clover kid, among the younger 4-Her's, was Levi Johnson.
Other recognition included outstanding achievements by Alena Allen as secretary, Dolan Huber as treasurer, Levi Johnson as reporter, and Busy Bee's Club for historian.
Certificates for outstanding record books from the youngest to the oldest went to Levi Johnson, Rebecca Urich, Wyatt Neal, and Megan Derry.
Helping Hands 4-H received service to the community recognition.
KTTN has been an affiliate of the Brownfield Farm Network all 40 years of its existence. KTTN Radio and Brownfield Network presented belt buckles to Tyler Kidd and Mariah Fox in honor of their efforts in showing livestock.
4-H Youth representative Lisa Delameter presented six “friends of 4-H plaques.” They went to Grundy Electric Cooperative, K C P and L, Katie Kinney, Steve Maxey, the Republican Times, and KTTN Radio.
Grundy county has six 4-H clubs: Busy Bees, Grundy Go-getters, Helping Hands, Oak Leaf Achievers, Rabbit Ridge Rustlers, and Horsemanship.
