Minor Injuries In Accident Involving Striping Crew

The Highway Patrol reports two persons received minor injuries when a tractor trailer truck hit the rear of a commercial truck which was part of striping crew.

The accident occurred early Thursday on Interstate 35 at Cameron

The driver of the tractor trailer, 49-year old Leslie Hill of Des Moines, Iowa, and the operator of the other vehicle, 38-year old Chanon Fine of Charleston, Illinois, were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Both vehicles were northbound on Interstate 35. The truck driven by Fine was part of a striping crew, with a construction sign and arrow stick on the vehicle. The patrol reported the larger truck hit the rear of the vehicle that was part of the striping crew demolishing both vehicles. Both persons were wearing seat belts.
